Funny story behind this photo: This was along the road going up Mount Greylock at one of the "scenic view" stops. This flower was on a ledge just a foot from the guard rail which was a foot from the edge of the road. Being the dedicated photographer, I laid down on the crushed stone and hugged the guard rail to take this hand held bracketed exposure. From behind me, Jennifer yelled out, "You might want to get out of the road, cars are coming!". Turned out that to get better balance, I had kicked out my leg... into the road. Thanks Jennifer for saving my leg from being pancaked! =)
